About
I am a registered dietitian and a graduate of East Tennessee State University, where I earned my MS in Clinical Nutrition. With nearly a decade of experience in clinical nutrition, I have had the privilege of helping individuals with mental health disorders and various chronic health conditions by creating personalized nutrition plans in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Currently, I work as a Senior Clinical Education Specialist in a corporate position. In this role, I enjoy optimizing our clinical program to better serve those with chronic conditions by utilizing evidence-based research and best practices. I collaborate with our digital marketing manager to implement engaging patient content marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email, and our website. Additionally, I develop educational materials related to our marketing initiatives, incorporating graphic design and compelling copywriting. I have also launched an exciting new webinar series where I present various health topics and conduct cooking demonstrations each month!
Nutrition is just one of my passions; I also have a great love for cooking and exploring new foods. I truly believe that food is medicine, which inspired me to earn my Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist (CCMS) certification. I have even developed two cookbooks focused on making healthy eating for kidney and heart health simple and enjoyable, featuring easy steps and approachable ingredients. I look forward to combining my interests and expertise to better serve the patient population I work with.
When I’m not busy with work, I love staying active, cooking in my kitchen, attending concerts, and spending time with my husband, our son, and our two cats.
