Laurie Powers PA-C has been practicing traditional medicine for over 30 years. She is a PA who is certified in both primary care and psychiatry, and is also a Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist (CCMS). Additionally, she has a certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). She started her own practice in 6/2022 in order to teach her patients how to eat and sleep in order to minimize the chronic use of medication, optimizing both their physical and mental wellness. Labs and Sleep Studies are ordered when applicable. She treats age 2 and up, and offers both in-office as well as NC telehealth appointments.
Sleep & Diet Restoration is certified with Tricare East, and accepts CHAMPVA, Medicare, Humana and Humana Medicare HMO, Tricare for Life, Aetna, BCBS and BCBS Medicare HMO, Medcost, Emblem Healthcare, United/UHC, Mutual of Omaha, and Cigna. Other than accepting cash/credit/debit, we also accept HSA/FSA cards.
