Dr. Ashima Gupta is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist practicing in Louisville, KY. She is a graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in Ophthalmology. She completed her fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. After working one year there, she spent the next 7 years as the director of pediatric ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. She returned to her hometown of Louisville in 2013 with her husband and twin daughters to join her family’s private ophthalmology practice with her father and brother. At her 20 year medical school reunion at George Washington, she was introduced to a complimentary culinary medicine course, which inspired her to pursue her board certification in this field. She is excited to join forces in Louisville to expand this very important field in the pursuit of prevention and alleviation of disease.
