Health Meets Food: The Culinary Medicine Conference – Registration

We are excited to announce the 5th annual Culinary Medicine Conference.

In 2018 we will expand our yearly gathering to a comprehensive three day conference in New Orleans, LA.  The meeting will encompass culinary medicine courseware review, hands-on cooking classes, research and poster presentations, lectures and roundtable discussion.

Registration for the full conference is $350.00 with additional fees for the optional hands-on cooking classes.

There are two tracks to register for — The Clinical/Culinary Track and The Academic Track.

The Culinary/Clinical Track focuses more on Culinary Medicine applications in the clinical and foodservice settings and is aimed more at practicing healthcare professionals and culinarians.

The Academic Track is tailored more toward collaborative teaching of Culinary Medicine in medical schools, nursing schools and residency programs with information on courseware, techniques and best practices.  There are 10 Student Track tickets available and students will follow the Academic Track schedule.

Each registration includes approximately eight (8) hours of didactic CME credits (MD, DO, NP, PA, RD, CDE, Pharmacist or Nurse) or CEH credits (through the American Culinary Federation).  Conference registration, also, includes participation in two (2) hands-on cooking classes for up to an additional nine (9) hours credit.

To participate in more than two (2) hands on cooking classes, optional modules can be purchased for an additional fee.  Shuttle service is not provided to the teaching kitchens for the Optional Hands-on Modules.

Select the main ticket to register for the conference and add optional modules as desired before proceeding to checkout.

No refunds will be offered for cancellations after May 14th, 2018.

The Health Meets Food conference agenda can be reviewed here:  Agenda Schedule

NOTE: It is possible to register more than one person, but you will have to complete accurate attendee information for each ticket you purchase.  For example, if you purchase 2 conference tickets and 2 optional hands-on modules, complete the name and information for each attendee for each event selected.  This will allow us to create a personalized ticket and agenda for each conference attendee.

To register (it always helps to read the instructions):

1.  Pick the track that you want to be in – Clinical/Culinary, Academic or Student.

2.  Choose a ticket for optional hands-on classes on Thursday and/or Sunday.

3.  Select the kitchen you want to cook in during the conference (note that you may be cooking in a different kitchen for your optional hands-on modules).

Select only one kitchen.  We do not have the option for you to attend class in one kitchen on Friday and a different kitchen on Saturday.

4.  During registration enter the information for the main person being registered.  If you are registering more than one person and if you are purchasing more than one event, you will have to enter the information for each attendee for each event.  Please be accurate in filling out the information for each ticket.

Multiple tickets for the same event(s) registered to the same attendee name will be rejected and we will request that you re-register with the correct information for each attendee.

5.  Finalize registration on the payment page where you can also enter any discounts or promotion codes.

No refunds will be offered for cancellations after May 14th, 2018.  For cancellations prior to that date please contact moodle@culinarymedicine.org.
