Emma Billington is a board certified internist and endocrinologist. Originally from Vancouver, she completed her medical training, including a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Endocrinology, at the University of Calgary. In 2015, she relocated to New Zealand to complete an Osteoporosis fellowship at the University of Auckland. Since 2016, she has practiced in Calgary, Alberta, as a member of the Division of Endocrinology and the Dr. David Hanley Osteoporosis Centre. She recently received a research grant to develop a culinary medicine intervention to optimize bone health.
While Dr. Billington’s clinical practice and her research focus primarily on bone health, she is passionate about improving accessibility to good nutrition and culinary skills for everyone.
When she’s not in the clinic, the lab, or the kitchen, you’ll find her running along the river, buried in a good book, or working on her debut novel.
