Dr. Vance has been with Castro Valley Pediatrics since 2000.
She has a BS in Psychology from UCLA. She received her medical degree from UC Davis School of Medicine and completed her Pediatric Residency at Children’s Hospital Oakland. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She became a Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist in 2021.
While certifying for CCMS, Dr. Vance was awarded an American Academy of Pediatrics CATCH Planning grant with her colleague, Dr. Miriam Rhew of UBCP Bancroft Pediatrics. They are currently creating a pediatric program of mindset coaching, joyful movement, and kitchen competency to address pediatric obesity and accessibility of equitable health in the face of the ongoing limitations of the global pandemic.
She has two adult sons and in her spare time she relaxes by volunteering, traveling, cooking, lifting weights, hiking, alpine skiing, and reading.
