Poster Session Info & Submission Forms

The Health Meets Food: The Culinary Medicine Conference™ is now accepting applications for Faculty, Resident and/or Student Posters for the Annual Poster session to be held June 14-17, 2018 in New Orleans.

This is the opportunity to showcase how your school has utilized the Culinary Medicine in teaching and patient intervention and for others to learn of the outcomes you have had.  Show attendees the many ways in which culinary medicine has been taught, appreciated and demonstrated usefulness in your patient and student population. Student submissions are most encouraged.

Guidelines to Complete Original Research Application Form

1. Title Place title of project at top of Abstract.
2. Purpose/Hypothesis State objectives/hypothesis/purpose of this project
3. Methods/Design Retrospective, prospective, pre-post, randomization, blinding, etc.
a. Outcomes Measures What are you measuring? e.g. change in blood pressure, weight etc.? student knowledge? Patient confidence to change behavior?
b. Study Setting Name of institution where study took place; what clinic; in/outpatient setting?
c. Participants Inclusion/exclusion criteria; Number entering and finishing study.
4. Results State main findings with statistical procedures and statistical significance, if appropriate.
5. Conclusions State conclusions and clinical applications if any.
6. Support List source(s) of support in the form of grants, equipment, drugs, etc.
7. IRB Attach proof of appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval from your home institution.

Guidelines to Complete Educational Endeavor Application Form

1. Title Place title of project at top of Abstract.
2. Introduction State topic and why it is important.
3. Description Describe essential elements needed to understand the project  accomplished.
4. Summary Discuss evidence from one’s own observations and from pertinent literature that supports one’s conclusions. State how this information is useful clinically, and can be replicated at other institutions.
